This Weekend: Parades, Fall Festival, FLW; Street Race Canceled

Race organizer, John Woolley, announced Thursday morning that the Bulldog Bites Street Race has been canceled due to expected weather on Saturday. Planning will begin to host the event at a later date.

Friday at 3:00 p.m. the homecoming parade is scheduled to start. The route will be along Cherokee Street heading West and turning North on Main Street. Come to downtown to cheer on the Bulldogs before they take on the Miami Wardogs Friday night.

The two-day Wagoner Fall Festival Tractor Show is scheduled to start at 10:00am on Friday, October 5th. Friday’s evening events include a movie in the park at dusk.

Saturday’s events include:

10:30am – Tractor Pull

11:00am – Parade of Power

12:00pm – Iron Legacy Band

12:00pm-1pm – Registration for the Kid’s Tractor Pull

1:00pm – OK Lawn Mower Races

North Lincoln Street will be closed from W. Cherokee to NW 1st St. during the Festival. The Festival is located at Dunbar Park, West of Casey’s General Store. For complete schedule click here.

Wagoner will play host to the three-day FLW bass fishing tournament on Ft. Gibson Lake starting Thursday, October 4th. The three-day event will end with a 4:00pm weight-in located at Walmart, 410 S. Dewey Ave. Wagoner, OK 74467. The top 25 anglers will caravan through town along Cherokee Street to reach the weigh-in destination. The City encourages everyone to cheer on the anglers as they move through the downtown area.
